The Magic Theatre is an independent cinema located in Nevada City, California, a picturesque gold-rush era town in the Sierra Foothills. Located a little less than an hour from Sacramento, Nevada City boasts a lively and sophisticated arts and cultural scene, including numerous music festivals, live theater companies and one of the leading community radio stations in the United States.

The Magic Theatre is the area’s premier outlet for independent, foreign, and other high quality non-mainstream films; and has been in business for more than 20 years, including ten at it’s current address.
